ABOUT KAY

Kay Kavanah has spent her life in motion.

A six-year Air Force veteran, ten years in Environmental Health and Safety, and a lifelong athlete — soccer captain, swimmer, skier, snowboarder, scuba diver. She's been a ski instructor, first aid and CPR instructor, and now a yoga teacher and sound healer. Teaching and moving have always been her native languages — and so has music. She grew up playing flute, violin, and guitar, taught herself piano, and eventually found her truest instrument in the crystal singing bowl.

But injuries, surgeries, and years of pushing through without really listening humbled her. What started as a search for physical healing became something much deeper — a journey through the mental blocks and quiet unhappiness that had been running underneath the high performance for years.

The tools she now teaches are the ones that actually worked for her. Not just for the body. For the whole person underneath it.

Testimonials

"We had the pleasure of experiencing a beautiful sound bath with Kay, and it was incredibly peaceful and healing. She gently guided us into the session with her calming voice, leading us through breathing techniques that helped us fully relax. She softly encouraged us to receive the healing, which felt very grounding and intentional. Kay has such a naturally soothing and nurturing presence that simply being around her feels restorative. When she began playing the instruments, I felt myself melting into deep relaxation. The ocean sound she opened with brought me fully into the present moment, and the vibrations of the bowls resonated throughout my body. I recently had foot surgery, and I truly feel this experience helped support my body’s healing process. The vibrations seemed to calm my nervous system, which is so important for recovery, restful sleep, and overall wellness. I am deeply grateful that I had this experience with Kay and am very much looking forward to the next one. 🙏🏻✨❤️"

"My team and I had a sound bath session with Kay. It was very zen, relaxing experience while being uplifting at the same time. I highly recommend trying this."

-BRENT S., CORPORATE SOUND BATH

"Kay’s sound bath was incredible. From the moment it began, I felt supported and at ease. The space was cozy and nurturing, with blankets and zero gravity chairs. Kay has a calming and magnetic presence that makes it easy to fully relax and drop into a meditative state. And the sound sequence was so soothing. Each sound vibrating gently throughout my whole body. I went in with neck pain and was feeling a little under the weather and afterward was completely pain free. It even cleared my sinuses which was unexpected. I actually felt like I could breathe easier and left feeling light as a feather. I can’t wait to go again. Highly recommend for anyone seeking relaxation or healing! "

Frequently asked questions

While there are no limits to what you can and can't feel, these are what others have felt (including Kay's experiences).

Many people feel relaxed and a genuine sense of calm during and after the session.

During the session your mind may enter an altered state (theta and delta brainwaves aka restful and deep relaxation) where you enter a dreamlike state, and you may have some "aha" moments.

Some people experience emotional releases (leading to tears, laughter, feeling loved and held).

Others feel energized and inspired after the session. Students report having mental clarity that lasts for days.

Lots of people sleep incredibly well that night.

In summary, the experiences and feelings vary from person to person, and it also changes depending on what physical and mental state you are in at the time of the session.

A sound bath (or sound healing session) is a multi-layered meditation and healing experience where you're immersed in deep sound vibrations. Kay uses instruments with specific tones and frequencies that help your body and mind relax, and have the ability to promote healing your body.

Rather than you "trying" to quiet your own mental chatter during meditation, Kay's guidance + the sounds act as an anchor for your wandering mind.

As you briefly forget about the world around you and the dishes in your sink at home, you will settle into a relaxing environment and allow these sounds to "wash over" your body, hence the name sound bath.

You brush your teeth for good oral hygiene but are you doing anything for your mental and energetic hygiene?

Kay truly believes that most people would benefit from sound healing, from athletes to busy professionals to your grandparents.

You've found this page because there is likely something you feel is missing from your life. A sound bath with Kay is a great place to start :)

Sound baths are used to deepen relaxation, ease stress, release tension from the body, improve mood, relieve pain, and improve sleep. The effects are different for everyone, and most people at a minimum feel more relaxed.

Wonderful question, and very valid as you decide to take a step on your healing journey. Kay has been to the depths of the ocean and back. From 5th grade flutist to Air Force enlistment to government worker to private tech to full entrepreneur, she has truly lived it all.

Through all these experiences she has found the best way to happiness is by connecting to yourself, and the easiest fast track to that is through meditation or sound healing.

She doesn't just teach random practices she hears about online. She test them out first, then teaches them.

If there is anyone who has the highest most important potential intention at heart, it is Kay. It's literally part of her name. Kavanah in hebrew means to lead with the heart.

Yes! Yoga classes are perfect for all levels, including beginners.

You can also schedule a Private Session with Kay to help you feel more comfortable learning poses in your body.
